Reasonable Date – Upon receipt of an application, servicers must send an acknowledgment notice within five business days that includes a reasonable date by which the borrower should return any documents and information necessary to make the application complete. Generally, under the 2016 Amendments, a servicer complies by selecting a date 30 days from the date it provides the notice. However, servicers may not select a date later than the next milestone unless the next milestone is less than 7 days away. 18 Reasonable Date
