In addition to serving on Mitchell Sandler's management committee, Casseres will head Mitchell Sandler's mortgage regulatory practice group. She has a national practice advising mortgage companies on federal and state regulatory compliance matters, including those involving fair lending, licensing, privacy, and anti- money laundering requirements. She frequently advises clients on the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the Truth-in-Lending Act (TILA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and state statutes. FORMER TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF SAVINGS & MORTGAGE LENDING COMMISSIONER JOINS POLUNSKY BEITEL GREEN Texas-based residential mortgage law firm Polunsky Beitel Green LLP (PBG) has added former Texas Mortgage Oversight Commissioner Caroline C. Jones as Special Counsel. Jones will advise clients in navigating all phases of the regulatory environment for residential mortgage lending. Jones joins PBG Director of Regulatory Affairs Doug Foster, who preceded Jones as the Commissioner of the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending. Foster and Jones were responsible for implementing much of the Lone Star State's current regulatory framework for mortgage lending. She also served as a member of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) State Liaison Committee for four years. Jones has served on the boards of Austin Habitat for Humanity, Center for Battered Women (now SAFE Alliance), Junior League of Austin, and Caritas of Austin.
