90 FLORIDA Ocwen Partners With Cambridge Credit Counseling Florida-based Ocwen Financial Corp. and Cambridge Credit Counseling, a not- for-profit U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development-approved hous- ing counseling organization, hosted a free mortgage assistance event for Massachusetts homeowners having trouble making their mortgage payments. Homeowners met one-on-one with Oc- wen Home Retention Agents and counsel- ors from Cambridge Credit Counseling to discuss their unique situations and to receive information about potential options to help lower their mortgage payments. "Ocwen is making a real difference across the country in the lives of homeowners struggling to pay their mortgage," said Jill Showell, SVP, Government and Commu- nity Relations at Ocwen. "Local borrower outreach events, such as this one in Mas- sachusetts with Cambridge Credit Counsel- ing, give us the chance to work directly with families in need of a mortgage solution to help them better afford their homes." Since January 1, 2008, Ocwen has com- pleted 18,600 loan modifications for Mas- sachusetts homeowners, which included ap- proximately $535 million in debt forgiveness. Across the nation, Ocwen has completed approximately 787,600 loan modifications and provided billions of dollars in debt forgive- ness. "Cambridge Credit Counseling is com- mitted to working with Massachusetts and Connecticut homeowners facing financial challenges to help them understand poten- tial options available to avoid foreclosure," said Beata Gosselin, Housing Counselor at Cambridge Credit Counseling. GEORGIA FormFree and Freddie Mac Announce Collaboration FormFree, a Georgia-based fintech company, has been designated a third-party service provider for automated income and asset assessment capabilities with Freddie Mac. e announcement was accompanied by Freddie Mac's unveiling of new enhance- ments to Loan Advisor, Freddie Mac's set of integrated software applications designed to lower costs in the origination process and assist lenders in the acquisition of relief from certain representations and warranties. Freddie Mac's automated asset and income-assessment capabilities are cur- rently available in limited release, and the government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) said it plans to make its asset offering available to the public-at-large before the end of 2018. FormFree direct-deposit income-assessment capabilities are expected to debut in early 2019. Both capabilities will be accessible via Loan Product Advisor, itself a part of Loan Advisor.
