GOVERNMENT KATHY KRANINGER BCFP NOM HEADED FOR SENATE VOTE President Trump's nominee to head up the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (BCFP), Kathy Kraninger, has been approved by the Senate Banking Committee and is headed for a full vote of the Senate. Kraninger, an Associate Director at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), would succeed Acting Director Mick Mulvaney, who has served since last fall. e White House's statement suggested Kraninger would bring "fresh perspective and much-needed management experience" to the BCFP, "which has been plagued by excessive spending, dysfunctional operations, and politicized agendas." e White House statement continued: "As a staunch supporter of free enterprise, she will continue the reforms of the Bureau initiated by Acting Director Mick Mulvaney, and ensure that consumers and markets are not harmed by fraudulent actors." Mulvaney issued a strong statement of support for Kraninger, saying, "I have never worked with a more qualified individual than Kathy." BRIAN JOHNSON APPOINTED ACTING DEPUTY DIRECTOR AT BCFP Within days of Leandra English, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, announcing her plan to step down from the post, the BCFP has announced her successor. Acting Director Mick Mulvaney announced that he had appointed the Bureau's Principal Policy Director, Brian Johnson, as Deputy Acting Director. "Brian Johnson is the first person I hired at the Bureau and has been an indispensable advisor," Mulvaney said in a statement. "Brian knows the Bureau like the back of his hand. He approaches his role as a public servant with humility and unsurpassed dedication. His steady character, work ethic, and commitment to free markets and consumer choice make him exactly what our country needs at this agency." LENDER/SERVICER CHASE APPOINTS ROB ROBERTSON AS SENIOR LENDING MANAGER Chase Home Lending has recruited Rob Robertson to lead its home lending hiring and lending operations in the greater Washington, D.C. region. As a senior lending manager for the region, Robertson will be responsible for building Chase Home Lending's presence in the area. In a statement, Chase said that Robertson had accumulated extensive mortgage experience over 18 years in the banking and mortgage industry. Before joining Chase, he managed a sales team of more than 400 in the D.C. metro market area where his team ranked number one in market-share growth year-over-year. "His ability to work with customers with a clear leadership vision has earned him numerous recognition opportunities and awards," Chase said about its appointment of the former Baltimore Ravens football player. UNITED FIDELITY FUNDING RECRUITS NATIONAL WHOLESALE ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE California-based United Fidelity Funding West (UFFWest) has added Victoria Dunn to its wholesale lending team of account executives. As the National Wholesale Account Executive, Dunn will be working with a team of mortgage professionals to enhance the firm's services and expand its presence. A strategic management and human resources expert with more than 30 years of experience working for top multinational brands, Loeser will lend his skills and expertise to direct the company's recruiting and staffing efforts.
